Big Day Friday You would think I was going to relax and take a much needed break from working -- I really do need a break from the "Most Magical Place on Earth." The truth is I am doing the opposite, working two more days than usual so I can earn the needed money for the upcoming months including Fall semester tuition and books and the New Car payments. What's so special about this week and this Friday? There is more to it being the last week and last day of June... That will be the question of the day... Go on and probe my blog for the significance if you don't know already. Once you find out, you know what to do on Friday. I will leave it at that. -- P.S. I got some blog posts that I want to publish so keep an eye for them. I know it has been a sports junkie's blog lately, which is not bad, but I want to talk about other things. To find Aristotle's Golden Mean... To harmonize my blog into a personal one, again.

Orange Sports: Miami are Champs... Team USA out of Cup! Last week I was ecstatic by the long awaited NBA championship I wanted my team, the Miami HEAT, to win. Even if I was two hundred miles to the north of my hometown's celebrations, thanks to the internet, I got to watch live TV coverage from some Miami TV stations showing the late-night celebration that halted South Florida cities all night long... No arrests reported. In addition, I got to witness the championship parade that took place on Friday. I was trying my very best to be part of the celebration despite the long distance between Miami and Orlando. I will try to savor the moment next season because I will look to traveling down to Miami come October when the HEAT start the next season. From a moment of celebration to the agony of defeat... The US Soccer team failed to advance to the second round of the FIFA World Cup. Its disappointing because I was looking forward to the moment that most Americans will appreciate the sport of Soccer, but the reality is that Soccer/Football, whatever the name of the sport is, will never be as popular as the other sports played in the USA... Here's to the 2010 World Cup! I am not feeling an ounce of despair and I will not allow myself to, because the Miami HEAT are champions of the basketball world!!!! Before I leave, I want to answer a comment left by one of my dear readers, Kalvin... In case you did not read the IM I left you the other day, cheering for a basketball team can be linked with rooting for a figure skater to win the gold medal. The excitement level, in my opinion, is much higher. I compare it to the excitement of ringing in the new year with a bunch of your closest friends. --
A day goes by... It's hard to imagine myself in a somber mood today after some elated events that brought joy within me the past week. I can't blame myself entirely for feeling blue today because in my neck of the woods, borrowing the phrase made famous by TV weatherman Al Roker, its cloudy, pouring rain and the thunder is not helping to quench the sadness. In respect to the rain, central Florida needed a nice shower from a tropical wave because it has been blazing hot and the threats from the drought and wild fires were unsettling my fellow Floridians. So here is to tomorrow! Hoping it will be a better day than this one. --

  aMAZEing Quote: White HOT baby!
When a flame burns its brightest…When the intensity is at its peak… That’s White Hot!
In case you have been wondering where I have been I am rooting for my Miami HEAT and giving them my undivided attention and support. Hopefully by late night, I will be in a better mood and savoring the moment all sports fans only dream about... Your team winning a championship! LET'S GO HEAT!!!!! LET'S GO HEAT!!!!! --have a white hot night

Back in the groove After an odd afternoon (and long night) yesterday, I am back to my average self. After updating my blog with what I felt as a unusual-but-necessary post, the day became even more perplexed. I can't disclose the situation but it had to do with a very ugly seperation. Which in turn, left me befuddled and upset. That is in the past and I can say that after taking the shower very late at night, I felt much better and ready to bid adios to a very odd day. Yes Dean... It was a cold shower, LOL. But it was not for the reasons mostly associated with taking 'em. -- Update (6/18/2006): To calrify a bit, leaving out the details and the drama surrounding what happened later on Friday, I was disapointed to have a blogging friend leave the blogosphere for good and another upset by comments concerning his credibility and honesty. Many of my friends in my blogroll are/were connected to both of these blogs so I assume that everyone will feel torn. Both of the bloggers are known to me and enjoy(ed) reading each blog. I guess drama is also present in the blogosphere community.

Out of the element I don't know what's up with my blogging mojo, but I just can't find the motivation to post anything. Perhaps what I have to ask myself is what's up with me? I am not sad or somber... I am actually quite happy and anxious. Both emotions are kind of contributed by the latest news in the wide world of sports. The Miami HEAT (NBA), my favorite team, just tied the series and need two more victories to win the championship... That's some good news. I am anxious because The US Men's Soccer team is about to face the Italian soccer team in a must win game. If you follow any, if not both of the sports, you'll get my drift. If the news is foreign to you, sorry. I'm a sports junkie. It may be that I need some sleep, or just today was not a good day to blog. The heavy showers that drenched my part of town really tampered my mood, and probably my job exhausted me today... Have you ever had a day that you had no clue what was going on emotionally, and seem to be bored no matter what you do. It's as if anything I normally do to escape boredom and entertain myself (like blogging) is just plain BLAHH -- just for the moment. Perhaps all I need is a cold shower to wash the laziness out of me. Yeah, that may do the trick. -- P.S. Have is just made a fool out of myself by posting this?

The Best Five Minutes... from Fox News I found this video in Towleroad and was promised by Andy it was worth spending five minutes of my day. The verdict... The video delivers and Fox News' Julie Banderas did a heck of a job in debunking and confronting Shirley Phelps-Roper, of the family-operated Westboro Baptist Church, about the hatred and disrespect they have done to thousands of mourning families. I read many of the comments from Andy's post about the timing of "Faux" News and the rest of the media on the hate-spreading WBC. The Phelps family have been spotted in the mainstream only recently but they have caused havoc on many families trying to mourn and remember the loved ones lost by AIDS/HIV, mostly homosexuals, for many years. The first time I heard of the WBC was on the first anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death. They had websites focusing on mottos like "God Hates Fags," "God Hates America... Bush... Canada", "Thank God for 9/11". Apparently God hates everyone and everything but the Westboro Baptist Church and the Phelps family if you ask my opinion. I thank God that Latina journalist Julie Banderas put The Wicked Witch of the West in her place and preached to Phelps that God is not one of hatred and wrath. Even if Fox or "Faux" News were late in reporting about these bigot lunatics, they finally argued what I would have said if I was in front of these losers. Go watch the video if you haven't done so and let me know what you think. -- [Towleroad: "You Wanna Preach? Let's Preach!"] [YouTube Source]

Orange Update: Pride Edition Last Saturday, June 3rd, was Gay Day at Disney's Magic Kingdom. I was not motivated to play around the park after work because I got off in the late evening after an exhausting but pleasant day of Gay Pride. It was nice to watch every group of people (Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Transgender, Drags, Twinks, Straight, you get the idea) supporting the cause to celebrate tolerance. It was also nice looking at the different guys I was infatuated with. At the same time I felt upset because I felt like an outcast, probably because all I saw was the stereotypical view that the majority of people have. Nothing bad, but not encouraging either. I also felt lonely seeing men with their partners and knowing that I still don't have one or a guy that I can call a trusting friend of my deepest secret. With the day already past, I am feeling better and upbeat. Also... A reason why I have disappeared, even after my New York trip is because I have some family members over my house and I am taking them to Walt Disney World. Its one of those blessing/burdens I learned to deal with after becoming a Disney World Cast Member (employee). I apologize and I will update all of you more frequently. Not to forget... I also have to register for Fall semester classes and fill out my Financial Aid stuff! --until next time!

Photo of Pride Kelly Stern, the blogger of Rambling along in Life, posted a personal picture depicting a Rainbow Pride flag and Old Glory (American flag) in the background. These flags are flown proudly in front of his Richmond, VA home. The fact that he lives in a "southern" city, with all of the intolerance that may be a common sight, and having the courage and pride to display both flags together says a lot about this man's character. June is not only the month of my birthday and the Summer season, it's also a month that carries a special significance in the homosexual community. I never knew that June was the official "Pride Month" until reading about it in a newsletter about four years ago. Since knowing about "Pride Month," I am prouder to have my birthday in the month of June. No matter what my final sexual preference may be, I will always have that sentiment because I believe every body is human and deserve to be treated with moral values in mind. I am posting this picture for the hope that tomorrow will be a harmonious day for everyone to co-exist as human beings despite the diversity present in the world. Happy Pride Month! Now help spread this picture to show your support for tolerance. Just give the credit to Kelly Stern. -- [Photo Source]

What gay personality are you?
created with QuizFarm.com
On the first quiz I was girlish and now I am seen as a straight boy. What is not surprising is that the statement -- Almost everyone knows but me -- is true. What am I waiting for? A commitment with a guy. Once I have a boyfriend and love him so much that I cry at night, then I will know for sure if I really do find guys attractive. In other words, I know I find guys attractive and sexually arousing but I need to know for sure. If I can find a phrase closely related to this situation it will me "Talk the talk. Now walk the walk." How do I know I certainly love a guy if I haven't had a boyfriend. Not to forget, I never had a girlfriend. So yes, unfortunately I am in the middle ground of questioning my sexuality (umm, who does not know that by now? LOL). And yes, I am a str8 boi! I just don't dress like the guy in the picture or look like that dude. To sum it all up, I NEED A BOYFRIEND! Gosh, saying that is so much easier than getting one. If no boyfriend is in sight, then a gay friend to trust would be great. To clarify, I do have gay friends in the blogging world but I need a warm blooded person where I live. James knows my situation and I can relate to his. Well, I gotta go... --quiz time's up!
